QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER , AUSTIN, TX (ONSITE)

Job Description:·  

Responsibility and Qualifications

  1. Work under the direction of the client's QA/Test Manager and Software Development Director and Data and Systems Manager.

  2. Perform manual and automated testing.

  3. Create and modify test automation scripts in order to support automated testing of client's applications using Java, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, Maven and IntelliJ.

  4. Conduct and report on test activities.

  5. Review, update and create automated test suites and scripts.

  6. Identify and coordinate the creation of test data.

  7. Document and report test results and problem incident reports (PIRs)/defect status.

  8. Assist in developing and executing the user acceptance testing (UAT) Test Plan for all assigned projects.

  9. Perform related work as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • 3 Yrs of Good knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and software testing principles

  • 3 Yrs of Performing QA and ADA testing on web-based applications

  • 3 Yrs of Performing manual QA testing

  • 3 Yrs of Working with Oracle 12c or 19c databases; writing custom Oracle SQL queries

  • 3 Yrs of Writing documentation of work performed

  • 2 Yrs of Experience working on an agile scrum team and knowledge of basic scrum practices

  • 2 Yrs of Demonstrated experience creating and modifying test automation frameworks using the following tools: Java, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, Maven, and IntelliJ

  • 2 Yrs of Experience writing test automation suites by gathering information from developers and business analysts, use cases and other verification requirements.

  • 2 Yrs of Intermediate-level proficiency in the Java programming language

  • 2 Yrs of Experience using the Page Object Model design pattern in test automation

  • 2 Yrs of Experience using the Page Object Model design pattern in test automation

  • 2 Yrs of Analyze, troubleshoot and report automation test case failures

  • 2 Yrs of Experience filing bug reports and verifying bug fixes

Preferred Skills:

  • 2 Yrs of Working with State of Texas regulatory applications/systems

  • 1 Yr of Working in with client's applications and databases

  • 1 Yr of Experience using Extent Reports to generate test reports

  • 1 Yr of Experience developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices

  • 1 Yr of Experience with RestAssured or similar REST API testing tool

  • 1 Yr of Exposure to JavaScript
